Tiffany Mackay is a contemporary pastel painter based in Sacramento, California. Her atmospheric landscapes and florals explore fleeting light, softened distance, and the feeling of encountering a place that seems half remembered.

Working primarily in soft pastel, Mackay builds landscapes through veils of muted color interrupted by loose, luminous marks. Meadows, wildflowers and distant tree lines recur throughout the work, hovering between observed landscape and imagined place.

Rather than describing a specific location literally, she is interested in the moment a landscape becomes emotional — haze over a field, flowers catching the last light, or a horizon beginning to disappear.

Her current work centers on intimate landscape studies and larger meadow paintings developed as small, cohesive collections.

Her work has been exhibited in California and Utah, including shows with Blue Line Arts, Art Club Sacramento / Glow Studio, and JKR Gallery.
